Back

Well, I'm back from Norway.
It rained a lot, and it was cold.

The problem with my job, is it's one in which the people we try to film have the option of saying "no." Basically, it's like a passenger telling the pilot he can't fly because the passenger doesn't want to beona Boeing 747. We have the thankless job of asking people to do their jobs on camera, and then get told, "I don't want to be on camera." Even though we work for the same people, they think we're bad guys or something.
We ran into this a lot in Norway. We had the opportunity to tell some good stories about people from different countries working together, and instead, I have to tell the story of a weatherman because none of the pilots wanted to talk. Pilots, isn't that what the Air Force is supposed to be all about, yet they don't want to do their jobs on camera, so we can't do our jobs andfilm it. And youknow the worse thing aboutit? The pilots don't get busted for it, but if we come back and say, "they didn't want to be filmed," WE'RE theones who get the lecture.
Just ranting.
