Four Days Off!!!

I will not have to work for the next four days! My bosses gave me some time off before the holidays hit, so I can relax a little, now that my replacements are in town. So, While I'm training the new radio guy, I also get some time to myslf. They told me to take it now, or never...so I chose now.

I'm also feeling much better, and thank you to everyone who expressed well-wishes for my sppedy recovery. Nothing too serious, just a bad 24-hour bug that had me shaking with a fever, but the next day I was fine again.

I have so many photos of my experiences (mostly of the people I hang out with) in Afghanistan. I will upload many of them in the coming month, as an homage to my time while deployed. I've made some amazing friends, and some memories that will last throughout my life.

Honestly, if this were a duty station, rather than a deployment, I'd say it's in my top 3 of all-time best assignments. The people were good, the job was spectacular, and the location, while away from the ones I Love, wasn't so bad afterall. I'll give it 8-out-of-10 for now...with a few weeks left, anything can happen though.
