The smile in the sky...

I just had to post this photo I took last night around 6:45pm local time. It's the convergence (or as close as they may get) of Jupiter, Venus, and the Moon [Top left, Top Right, Bottom respectively]. The next time these celestial bodies will look like this will be in November, 2052, so, probably not again in my lifetime. I like that it makes a smiley face (perhaps I can choose to believe my recently departed loved ones are smiling down on us). If only there were shooting stars to go along with it.

Speaking of...My Grandfather died this weekend. My mom went to Florida to help handle some of my recently passed Aunt's affairs, and while she was there, her father, my grandfather, passed away as well. My Mom is okay, and taking this remarkably well. I suppose it has a lot to do with her relationships to her family members. She even handled some serious conversation with light humor, just to let me know she's alright. I'm sure we'll talk more about the events of the past few weeks when I go home.

ALSO, a very Happy Birthday to my Father! Still kicking at 60. So much for what doctors say!
I hope you got to do something enjoyable (which usually means sitting at home watching TV or playing on the computer). Here's hoping you make it to 70 and beyond!

I'm beginning to pack up my belongings. It's always hard to do so, as I add a little sentimental value to everything. So, it will be sad to see some of the things that have adorned my walls and room missing. BUT, it also means I'm just that much closer to going home. The more stuff I send now, the less stress and hassle I will endure when my time comes.

One last thing to note...
I want to say a special thank you to all my Family and Friends who have sent me letters, cards, packages, etc. during my time here. It has meant so much to me. Thanks to all of you who reunited with me after years of come-and-go communication. Here's hoping it lasts from now on.
