Yeah Yeah, I Know...

Rather than give excuses as to why I haven't posted in forever, I'm just going to start writing.

Things that have been on my mind lately (in no particular order):

being the best husband I can be, parenthood, work, unemployment, home, away, parenthood, the moon, life, past experiences, moving on, holding on, parenthood, the color pink, what I want to do, what others want from me, what God wants from me, parenthood, money, not having enough money, losing touch, salads vs. steaks, and parenthood.

Vanessa has gone home to be with her family. They recently suffered a loss. She is holding up well, still,I hate not being able to be there with her and for her.

I just returned from Croatia. I went for the weekend to film some Airmen renovating a hospital.

You can't take me anywhere!

I have just returned from a temporary assignment to Spain. I was there to film some US military support for NASA's space shuttle launch. However, due to mechanical and weather issues, NASA decided to scrub the original launch date in favor of a later one. This meant that I got to spend more time in Spain waiting for word on when they would try again. We got word that today was to be the attempt, so we got ready and set p for our mission. Then NASA called again, and said they were cancelling the launch until July. So, my bad luck streak with TDY's continues. At least this time, I'm healthy and there is nothing wrong with me...but I'm so unlucky, I can affect the NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION! My karma is bad!!!

While I was in Spain, Vanessa did some shopping, and got a lot of stuff for our expected little one. She did VERY well. Things that would have cost in the thousands, she got for mere hundreds, and some things were in the tens of dollars range. I'm very proud of her! Now the room looks like a little one will soon be there, rather than just a room with a bunch of stuff piled up. I'm getting more and more excited as the weeks pass!!!
