Got The Blues...

Well, Vanessa left this morning. It was a very tearfull parting, but I stayed strong for her. She cried as she got into the cab and left my side for only the second time in our relationship (if you don't count leave or family emergencies).
Rather than focus on how sad I am, though, I'd like to remember the great time we had together her in Korea.

We went white water rafting (and drank polluted river water), we spent the day at a really nice amusement park, we got to walk around a little shopping town and haggle for knock-off products, we watched a really BAD movie, but made up for it by watching a really good one, we got to eat at her favorite restaraunts (even though the food was sub-par), we talked, joked, laughed, cried, slept, ate, and spent every moment we could with each other. I had to work, so she spent her days sleeping in, workin gon school stuff, and making new friends with the people in my house. In just three days, she made more friends here than I have in my two months.
Mostly, we sat or laid in bed watching tv or movies, or not watching anything at all, just being with each other. That is the most important thing, and was the most enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, I need her to get me out of my rut of going to work, and then back home, without leaving the base at all, but I really liked having her here, just to be with me.
I'm truly in Love, you see, and to be with that one special person that makes all the badness go away, and can bring a rainbow to even the gloomiest of days, that's worth more than all the gold in the world. Vanessa does that for me. I'm so blessed that she's in my life, and I know I'll never take that for granted. I know how lucky I am to have her, and I want to let her know that every single day.
So if you're reading this, yes, I'm a little sad (and a little sick - flu), but I know I'll be fine. Besides, I'll be seeing her again very soon!

Work is great right now. A shoot I was supposed to do today got rained out, and our computer system is down AFN-wide, so I've been sitting at my desk doing nothing for 3 hours now. I'mupset that I had to come in this morning, because I could have spent that time with Vanessa.

SHE'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I know it's been a while since my last entry, but I've been mondo busy with preparing for, and enjoying Vanessa's Visit. She actually arrived a couple of days early to surprise me. She was supposed to get in on Thursday the 15th, but to my amazement, she knocked on my door on Tuesday night. I went to work Wednesday, barely able to keep my mind on things.

Thursday, we spent the day in, as it rained the whole day and night. I took her to dinner, and then right back home. Friday, we walked around one of the local shopping districts all afternoon. We got her some new clothes, a knock-off designer purse, and a lot of other stuff. Saturday, I took her to her favorite restaraunt, Bennigan's, for lunch. We also walked around shopping and checking out possible tours we could go on while she's here. Sunday, we went to Lotte World - Korea's knock-off of Disneyland. We had such a great time. It reminded me of when we first met, and spending countless hours on tours and enjoying trips to Disneyland and Museums in Japan.

Now it's Monday, and I'm back at work, but still, it's hard to focus on much more than the fact that my Love is here, and waiting for me to get off of work and return to her. I know she's working on shcool work and taking care of business while I'm slaving away behind my camera or computer. Still, I want so badly to leave here and get back to enjoying what little time we have together here before she leaves me again. I know that I'll see her in Japan soon, but I don't want her to go. It's like I have a whole new refreshing wind when she's around. Otherwise, I'm a slave to my work.

If we do anything major, I'm sur I'll post it here. Until then, I just thank God I get to spend time with her "chillaxing" and enjoying each other's company.
