H.O.P.E.

The Heinzelman Out-Processing Efficiency (H.O.P.E.) Binder is out of the cobwebs, and ready for use. At this posting, I have 62 Days to go. I have already started on some of the outprocessing I have to do to leave this place. I must say, loking back, I have run the gambit of emotions.
When I first got here, I was excited to get to work in a new environment, even though I was so far away from my Love. Then, as news began to take hold, I felt stressed, then distressed at the amount of work I was asked to do. My only sanity break came when I took leave to see Vanessa in Japan for a few weeks. But, whe I returned, I was right back into the hellish situation I was in before I left. I was even contemplating bodily harm (not suicide, mind you, but self-injury to be sure) just to get a break. (Un)Fortunately, Fate stepped in, and I was ijured - notof my own doing - and that injury facilitated a move for me from news to radio. Since that move, life has been smoother, and 1000% less stressful. In fact, My relationships have gotten stronger with almost every one:
- Vanessa and I have more time to talk, and can talk regularly, so we can be with each other, even if we can't be near each other.
- I feel closer to my parents now, than I ever have before. I have had some real heart-to-heart talks with them, and realized how important, and caring they have been to me my whole life. I just failed to (or didn't want to) see it.
- My coworkers and supervisors have noticed a change in my attitude. I show up for work, do my work, and go home on ime. I stay late once in a while, but it's the exception, not the rule anymore. I even have more of a relaxed attitude towards work. If someone needs something done, I weigh the need versus the want.

It's a better life.

62 Days to go!
