Okay, so I haven't updated as much as I'd like, and you, my reader(s) have been anxiously awaiting something profound from me.
Well, here's what I've been up two for the past few weeks:
We did the Rocky Horror thing a few weeks back. It was fun for both of us, though the practices left us little personal time. By the end of the show, we'd been practicing every niht from 6-9pm, then going straight to sleep for the next morning. It was all worth it, though. I got to relive my glory days, and Vanessa got to be a part of it all. She really liked the show, and wants to do it again next year.
Last weekend, we went to see the local German production of Rocky Horror, and I was asked to play a part in their cast - as their people didn't all show up. It was my first time playing Rocky, but somehow I managed. There are pictures floating around the internet, but you have to know where to look, and I'm not telling... :P
Just before Halloween, we went to Frankenstein's Castle (yes, it's here in Germany!) to see the "haunts" there. It was very nice - artistically - but not scary. They had some one-act plays that were nice, and their haunted walk was okay...but as an American, I've grown up watching scarier things on daytime television. Many of the locals were scared and running from the people in costume. It kind of makes me lament being such a child of the night. Things like that just aren't enough for me.
The Holiday season is fast approaching, and I think I've done most of the shopping I am going to do. I still have some people to buy for, and others I would like a list of "areas to look in." If I don't have your list, you fall into this category.
Work is the same...pretty much will be this time of year. Vanessa continues to excell at everything her boss throws at her. Meanwhile, I'm stuck waiting for notification of when I'll be going off to class, so I can play Soldier. You'll know when I do.
There's one thing I can say about my lack of updates, just to keep you a little happy. Fewer posts, means things are okay. When I was in Korea, I'd post more often, because I needed an outlet. I don't need one as much, but that doesn't mean I will slack off because I can. I slack off because I'm lazy. And I'm working on it, promise.
Hmmm, what else. Oh, we're having Turkey Day here at the house. I invited someone, and it snowballed from there, so it's going to be a big production. I hope we can make it a good time.

I've decided to look into hypnosis as a project. I've always been fascinated by stage hypnotists, and I think I could have fun doing it. Not like a Vegas act, or anything, but as entertainment value. I think it goes back to my youth (I want to say 11 or 12) when I was listening to the radio late at night, and the show had a hypnotist that actually did an induction on-the-air. Since then, I've been to a couple hypnotits shows, and even tried my hand at it once in college (I got some people from the fraternity to fall asleep after watching Fight Club, but I didn't do anything else).

So that's my latest update. Life varries from day to day, but usually only in miniscule ways. We did get a couple of ou new "friends" back to church this weekend. That was a mixed blessing. Godd that they got back, bad due to the reasons they left in the first place. We're planning on taking them again next week.

Sorry no Vnessa braces pictures yet. Se just found the charger for her camera, and is charging it. When it's good, I'll take a few, and post them - if she'll let me.
Take Care, and see you soon.

Been gone a while...
Sorry about the hiatus. I've no excuse really. I could say I've been busy with work (which I have), or that my off-duty time has been eaten up (which it has), but the simple truth is...
I'm lazy.
So, here's the update you've been waiting for.
1) Vanessa and I have taken roles in my base's production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I will be revivingmyold roles of Brad and Riff Raff, from my days as a member of the Frank's Follies cast in Indianapolis. Vanessa has been cast as Magenta, so I will beplaying opposite her each night. We practice twice a week at the moment, but starting next week, we will do one per night until the shows on the 19th and 20th. It takesup precious free time, but it's so worth it. The cast are, for lack of a better term, "free." Free like the TNMC was back in the day. I will not take anything away from the original TNMC by labeling this new group as such, just that the feeling of openness and freedom I felt once with the old group, is rekindledwith the new.
2) Dungeons & Dragons. As it turns out, my Rocky Horror group is also a D&D group. Fun, fun, fun. I'm playing again, and so is Vanessa. It's one thingI enjoy...getting to escape the realityof this world, and enter one completely fantastical.
3) Vanessa has braces. Yep, Tinsle Teeth, Metal Mouth, Brace Face, and all the other nicknames...she's got them, and they're here to stay. I will try to get a photo up for you all to see of her "Tin Grin."
4) My bestest girlfriend Rachel (see wedding discussions) had a tragic loss recently. Her Mother passed away. She is taking it better than I would have, but it is still close, so she is full of emotion. My prayers are with her, and my arms, aways open for a hug.
5) I'm sick. Yep, just got sick this weekend, and I'm feeling it. It's just a cold/flu, so I'll be fine in a few days. I just hate being sick, and threatening Vanessa with my germs.
So, there's my update...not much I know.
The Hollidays are fast approaching. I hope yours are all well and fun.
Remember us - not just Vanessa and myself, but all our brothers, sisters, Moms, Dads, sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, family members, friends, and complete strangers...each in harm's way, rather than with their loved ones. I know, it reads sappy to me, too, but I just saw an interview with Ben Stein (Bueller, Bueller) about his thought on the war in (insert country name here) and he had such fantastic, andpatriotic things to say. It's important, because he's a political mind, as well as a public figure, so if one mind can look at things the way he is, then who knows how many more minds can get a voice.
