I miss her.

We didn't speak today.
I miss her.
Vanessa has moved into her new home, and that's totally great! I'm really excited for her. But, she doesn't have a phone yet, so we can't talk to each other. My rock, my anchor, and we can't speak. I feel like I'm floating away sometimes. Last week, I really did go home, and fall fast asleep, only to wake up well into the evening, unable to fall back to sleep. At least for those few hours, I didn't think about missing her calls. I Love Her so much, and it pains me not to be able to speak with her.

Thanksgiving is this week. I've got my list of things to be thankful for, and I'll post it later on this week. Be thinking of your lists, and if you like, you can post here. Two people from my ofice have invited me to their homes for Turkey Day. And here's my conundrum: I have a PT Test on the 5th, so do I eat 2 Thanksgiving meals, or do I peck, and keep my weight down? I won't starve by any means, I just won't get the tryptaphan(sp?) drowsiness from eating too much. It's a good thing, right?

My email is acting up, both my AOL and my work email. I think it's my PC, but I can't be sure, since it's BOTH my work and my home computer. Maybe it's the US Forces Korea Internet Police keeping bandwidth low. Anyway, I can't receive some emails, and I can't send out others. Sometimes I send out blank email from my work account, and my AOL never receives some. It' ENTIRELY frustrating. SO, please leave me messages on here (unless they're too private or personal - in which case, try this address so I can at least read most of them) until the problem gets fixed.

Oddly enough, I don't have much to say this week...
My job is nice, I actually leave work at a decent hour, and I'm finally doing the job I joined the military for.
Yesterday, I arrived home after work at around 3pm, and usually I eat dinner, watch TV or a movie, and get to sleep around 8:30/9:00. Not so much yesterday. I got home and fell fast asleep the second I sat down. I woke up at 9:00pm fully rested, and couldn't get back to sleep.
My body was so accustomed to ONLY sleeping when I was in my room when I was in News, that I think it had a lapse, and thought I needed to sleep. Oh well, I still got my 6 hours in.
I have 24-hour duty tomorrow, so I'll need to get as much sleep as I can tonight.

Vanessa just found out she can get all of her stuff out of storage and sent to her in Germany. That means she'll have ll the furniture she needs, without having to pick up anything new. She's also looking into getting a phone and the internet so we can talk more often, and a car so I can call her when I get off work, like she calls me when she does. Wish her luck.
Also, she really loves it at work. She's surrounded by people who seem nice, and have her best interests in mind (unlike so many of her previous experiences in the military).

I got back in touch with probably my best "girl-friend" in the world (next to Vanessa). Ray has been my friend since I started college, and we've stayed as close as we could for the last 11 years. And to think, it all started because she read my name tag at work, and said hello. That, and I recommended that she watch a really bad movie. I used to think that it was unfair to have best friends, but after only a few months of knowing her, I knew she would be someone I could call "best." So, welcome back Ray, I hope to see you soon.

Please write a response with Christmas wishlists. I know I wrote a tirade about not wanting anything, and not being able to afford much, but it's Christmas time, so I'll do my best to scrounge for presents. Just let me know. : )
